Meet the Dog Haus Staff

Liz Foley

Founder, CEO, Dog Behaviourist & Alpha Female

From a very young age, Liz Foley had a deep connection with dogs and a passion for understanding them. By founding The Dog Haus in 2011, Liz has seized the opportunity to share her passion with the Kitchener-Waterloo community. She is also deeply devoted, to expanding her knowledge about dogs by working with some of the best trainers across Canada and the Unites States. In 2014 Liz trained with Cesar Millan at his Dog Psychology Center in Southern California and then returned to participate as a volunteer. There, she learned the subtle, yet powerful physical and psychological language of canines and how to use it to build balanced relationships. When she’s not at the Dog Haus, you will often find her in her art studio painting dog portraits, at one of KW’s dog parks or in Uptown Waterloo where she and Carmen enjoy meeting new dogs and owners.

Canine Relations

Carmen was the inspiration behind The Dog Haus and takes great pride in welcoming new dogs to daycare and making sure everyone gets along. She is a young, 3-legged mutt, who loves Canadian winters. A kind, spirited happy-go-lucky girl who loves to play with dogs of all shapes sizes. Originally a stray, on the streets of Mexico, Carmen can teach both people and dogs a thing or two about appreciating life and living each day to its absolute fullest!
You will often see her at The Dog Haus, bopping along in Uptown Waterloo, or at one of her favourite dog parks running and playing – always with a smile on

Lili Romeo

Pack Leader

Lili has always had a strong love for animals, dogs especially. She has wanted to work with dogs for as long as she can remember; so becoming a part of the Dog Haus team was like a dream come true. You can usually see Lili bringing happy dogs out to their families at pick up or running around out back with the pack.

When Lili’s not at the Dog Haus, she loves nothing more than to take her 3 pups out to the local dog parks to meet new doggie friends or go to Snyder’s for a hike by the Grand River.

An Amazing fun place for my fur babies. Friendly faces with so much compassion for our 4 legged friends.
Anne-Marie Lesperance
My dog practically jumps out of her skin when I pull in the parking lot! It’s worth every penny, to have my pup at a safe and nurturing place while I’m at work.

Thank YOU Liz, Sarah & the rest of the Pack at the Dog Haus – Harvey and I are FURever grateful!”
